Botox
The procedure is done quickly and nearly painlessly in our office. There is a slight amount of discomfort associated with the injections, but because the needles are extremely small the feeling passes very quickly. We easily ameliorate the pain and any associated bruising with the gentle application of an ice pack. You will be able to return to your regular activities the same day, after a short recovery time.
The full effects of Botox injections aren’t seen for four to seven days, so please don’t judge the treatment immediately after your visit to the doctor. In most cases the great look that Botox creates will last approximately four to six months. We recommend that if you have very deep lines, you gradually increase the amount of Botox injected over the course of multiple visits to find the perfect amount for you.
Botox for hyperhidrosis
Botox is also extremely effective at relieving the problem of excessive sweating. Most commonly administered to the underarms, we can discuss your situation if you have other areas of your body with the symptom. However, it is recommended that you try topical medications before injecting Botox. As an Internist, Dr. Grossman can not only help relieve the symptoms of hyperhidrosis, but also diagnose and treat the underlying causes.
